Account Deletion

The fastest way to delete your account is right inside Laiden. Open Settings → Delete account and confirm. Your account and the data connected to it are removed immediately and permanently. There is no waiting period, and it cannot be recovered afterwards.

You do not need the app installed to delete your data. Email us from the address you signed up with, at support@getlaiden.com with the subject “Delete my account”. We confirm the request comes from you and complete the deletion within 30 days, usually much sooner.

If you only ever joined the waitlist at getlaiden.com and never created an app account, email the same address and we remove your waitlist entry (name, email, age, and gender).

Deleting your account permanently removes your personal data from our database and from the services that store it on our behalf: our database provider Neon, our photo host UploadThing, and our login provider Clerk.

In the normal case we keep nothing after deletion; everything above is erased. We never sell or share your data, and we do not keep it for advertising.

The only exception is where the law requires us to retain a minimal record, for example a report of serious misconduct kept for safety reasons, and only for as long as we are legally required to hold it. Anything retained for this reason is kept to the strict minimum and is never used for any other purpose.
